We exist to pray, worship, serve, and grow in Spirit together, taking the Good News of Jesus with us everywhere we go. The ways and means by which these things happen will change from time to time and season to season because we are committed to following the leadership of the Spirit.
We are Simple. This means that we function without any artificial or man-made ingredients added. We have no buildings to maintain, salaries to pay, formal doctrines or creeds to defend, or denominational affiliations to support. Rather we simply follow Jesus as our “pastor” and provider while celebrating our unity with all followers of Jesus everywhere.
We strive to be Authentic. While we certainly aren’t perfect, we function in real life. We guard against “religion” by being real with each other and not allowing things to become ritual. We typically gather in homes for ministry, worship, prayer, and Communion, but we do not allow this to become the main part of our life as a church.
We commit to being Relational. The true Church of Jesus is born out of the experience and life of Jesus within his people. Relational church life is identified by face-to-face community, every-member functioning, open-participatory meetings, non-hierarchical leadership, and the centrality and supremacy of Jesus Christ as the functional Leader and Head of the church.
It is our opinion that these three “personality traits” reflect the intentions of Jesus and the reality of His church as described and instructed in the New Testament.
